Diary of a future rentier (83)

This post is part 82 of 86 in the series Diary of a future rentier.

My small independent side business has come to a halt. I haven't seen my first client for several weeks. What's more, just as a second one was on the horizon, everything suddenly fell apart. I'm experiencing the difficulties of small business owners. For them, who rely on their customers to survive, it must be really difficult.

I need to experiment. I still lack a few marketing keys. I am in the process of correcting this and I am hopeful that I will be able to acquire new prospects fairly quickly. With a goal of only four recurring customers, this should not be a particular problem.

Being a small boss, in addition to the independence it offers, also allows you to understand the different areas necessary for managing a business. This requires training, in small doses, in professions that are not familiar to you. It is interesting, because it makes you think more globally and with more perspective. This is a huge change from being an employee, in which, on the contrary, you only specialize, again and again.

  1. It took 4 years for my training business to start. I wish your business to grow faster! 😉
Depending on its nature, the period does not necessarily lend itself to it?

    1. Hi Paul
pleasure to read you again. Yes the period is not ideal! However my goals are modest so I hope to achieve them despite everything 🙂

Out of curiosity, without necessarily going into details, what will your marketing strategies be?

    Good luck 🙂

    1. I started using Google Ads a few days ago. It works pretty well.
I had already acquired the web marketing techniques with Amazon for my book, so I was up to speed pretty quickly. Cost per click, CTR and conversions soon held no more secrets for me 🙂
So I just found a new client. Let's hope it lasts.
