  1. Jérôme, what do you think of Zur Rose (or its German competitor Shop Apotheke)? The company is not expected to be profitable before 2023 or 2024, but online pharmacy is definitely the future. The potential is huge, but so are the risks. This could give you ideas for a future stock analysis 😉

    1. I looked at both. It's hard to say because it's outside my usual investment framework. We're dealing with pseudo startups, non-profitable growth companies. To value them, we can compare the price to the book value, and there we're around seven for both. In short, it doesn't speak to me. We can of course make a bet on the future, but it's still a bet...

    2. Galenica doesn't please you anymore Dividinde?? 🙂 As you mentioned in a previous post, I find it attractive at the moment and it has worked hard during the pandemic to develop online sales and position itself in the online trend which as you say is certainly the future. An in-depth analysis could be very interesting…

  2. Oh yes, I still like Galenica as much and it is also one of the 5 largest positions in my portfolio. It is a solid value and its dividend is interesting (even if unfortunately it was not increased this year as I had expected).

On the other hand, Galenica's online presence remains anecdotal, even if the company has slightly expanded it. Zur Rose is really a bet on the future and I am currently wondering about opening a small position around 300 francs. It would be very speculative but could turn out to be a big hit in a few years.

    1. I understand your interest. I was a customer from the very beginning at "Le Shop", before they moved to Migros. If I could have bought some in 2000, I would have rushed to buy them. Unfortunately the company was not listed on the stock exchange.

    1. Ha ha, you're not losing your bearings. I'll think about it. But buying losses has become unnatural for me since the dotcom bust.

      1. I understand you and it's the same for me: without profits, without cash flow and without dividends, I generally move on. Afterwards, playing with 2-3 small purely speculative positions brings a little spice to my portfolio as a good father. But it's clear that I wouldn't like to have to count on this kind of securities to cover my current expenses in pre-retirement!
