  1. Clear victory for Visa…
Since this company's fiscal year ended on 30.09.2020, I will wait for the annual figures which normally come out in mid-November before proceeding with the analysis.
So, just another ten days of patience.

    1. Indeed, a clear victory for Visa, I look forward to reading your analysis of this fantastic but still expensive title...

On the other hand, at the time of writing the Trump – Biden result is still open, the two opponents are in Covid to Covid… er… neck and neck…

      1. At least they give us some suspense! I'm still curious to see which of the two old guys will finish ahead.

Are you also going back to teleworking?

  2. Yep, I'm off again: 100% in home office, with one child out of two in home schooling (class in quarantine)...,

Still impressive that the stock market is rising sharply today in this precarious period for democracy! It's fascinating!

Speaking of puns, tomorrow is my corona birthday 🙂 I can't wait to eat sushi yummm!!

For my part, I have been working from home for 9 months and the bosses don't want to see us for the moment... which suits me perfectly. Who knows if it will last forever. In any case, my future wife (Yes, we are getting married! But hey, more of a baby/covid marriage on paper than for love - it will make things a lot easier for us in the current global context - we don't need to get married to prove our love! Besides, when we fill out the administrative forms, love is very far away!) is pregnant and we are going to live in Germany for a year starting in October. She will take the long maternity leave, I will take a sabbatical year.

It is for all these good reasons that I started to liquidate a lot of belongings: car (I simply don't use it anymore with covid! Or very little... I'll rent it by the day at worst, I'll save a lot of money!!), bike, old game consoles, etc... it feels so good and I'm filling my pockets!! In addition to the stress less of owning / maintaining / storing / insuring / repairing so many belongings, I plan to invest all this money in the stock market. I could thus live a year off with my baby while my money grows on its own. After a year we would probably then buy a house with our savings. In any case, I'm happy to know that at least the routine is not likely to set in too much in the first years with baby 🙂

But shh, don't tell anyone, there aren't many people around me who know about this!

    1. If the stock market has risen so much, it is only because the markets understood more quickly than everyone else that no matter who the president is, there will be no blue wave and that the Democrats will therefore not be able to do what they want. So no tax increases, no country that tips into "socialism" (according to Trump). So all good for the stock market. You can't get more cynical than that.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy birthday and congratulations on your marriage.

Selling off your car is a great way to save money and have less hassle!

      All the best to you.

When I tell people around me that I'm selling my car, they try to convince me otherwise haha "but what are you going to do if you have an emergency or a big grocery shop to do!?"

It makes me laugh so much, some people are so quickly insecure (my parents first) if their cars are not parked in front of their house. I don't stay in a lost village either, I'll manage, I tell them, but old mentalities are hard to change...

      2. Ah ah lol. "Emergency" and "Big grocery store" are typically terms that are part of the Rat Race lexical field. They don't realize that it's the car that induces the urgency and not the opposite. Same for the big grocery store... In the same vein when we go shopping, we shouldn't believe that supermarkets provide us with big shopping carts to protect our backs! Personally, I only buy what I can carry by arm strength.
