Hello Jerome,
Don't you think Unilever's stock is overvalued at the moment?
By the way, what do you think of the American market? Are you taking some profits while waiting for a drop by Mr.Market or are you just buying&holding&collecting the dividends?
Sincerely,
Eric
Hello Eric
almost all stocks are overvalued right now.
I bought Unilever in May, taking advantage of a drop in the share price, but I wouldn't buy it now.
Nevertheless, it is a defensive and solid stock, with good prospects for dividend growth over the long term.
Generally speaking, if the fundamentals of the stocks I own remain strong, I keep the stocks.
On the other hand, if I no longer see good prospects for dividend growth in the future, I will close the position, as I just did today for GSK.
Yes, I hesitated before parting with it, however given the valuation I preferred to take my profits (+50%).
I don't like hearing managers reason "with current rates we can only buy shares".
This may be a good idea or a mistake, time will tell. I will return to the title when the PE is deflated.
"With current rates, we can only buy shares"
In a way it's true... but since everyone does the same...
