Performance 2015

PerformanceThere performance in CHF from portfolio in 2015, amounts to -2.49%. Cumulatively, this brings us to an annual profitability since launch (03.02.2010) of +13.16%. The portfolio is performing slightly less well than the market (S&P +0.25% in CHF) during this year. What are the causes and what are the future prospects?

Initially, it was the abandonment of the floor rate by the SNB that caused American stocks to suffer considerably, but they recovered fairly quickly. Energy stocks, particularly oil, also weighed on profitability. Finally, it is also necessary to note a certain abandonment by investors of "cushy" stocks, such as those that pay dividends, in favor of riskier stocks. Consider, for example, stocks such as Amazon, Google, Facebook or Netflix, which have outperformed this year.

Despite this, the portfolio's dividend growth remains high, at 9,88% per year. As a result, the portfolio's yield on purchase cost has risen to 3,69%, while the current yield is only 2,29%.

THE distribution ratio The average portfolio remains at fairly decent levels, with 62.94%, even if it continues to increase. It is not dramatic yet, but it is necessary to monitor and possibly take measures if it were to rise too much, for example by selling off certain stocks that are squandering their profits too much.

During the year, CHF 5,800 in net dividends were generated, compared to CHF 4,100 the previous year. I am thus progressing ever more towards financial independence, today being 16% away from the objective that will allow me to completely retire from the professional world.

The year 2016 should hold some good surprises for members of the site with the arrival of a new strategy very different from the 4 firsts. It will bring a completely new dimension to the investment mechanisms currently used, allowing to further increase profitability while decreasing risk. I am currently performing the final production tests. There are still a few bugs to fix but if all goes well I should soon be able to show you all this.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your loyalty and to wish you a 2016 filled with satisfaction.
