    Hi Jerome,

We completely agree on technical analysis: it is often nonsense and it is possible to show whatever we want with it. And in any case, we can use all the graphs we want, it generally has nothing to do with the reality of a society.

I just found the bullish channel of this analysis interesting, because there are 6 higher bounces and 8 lower ones… but that doesn't mean it will continue, we agree.

However, I wanted to put some money into AI, and I was waiting for the price to be a little lower than the recent records. With this graph, I think we have probably reached the bottom, and I decided to buy now. Maybe in a while the price will be even lower and I would have done better to wait a little… but you have to decide at some point. And in any case, I am like you; I am investing for the long term and so it should not make a colossal difference after a few years.

Otherwise, we agree on the qualities of Air Liquide, which is one of my favorites. :)

Thanks for the article on cookies. Exactly what I was waiting for! :)

in reply to: Bloomberg Data on Excel #16684

    Hi,

Personally, I use Excel 2002 and I do it with the "external data" toolbar which allows you to take information from the Internet. On Bloomberg, however, it is not very practical, because you have to take the entire page of data, then program your spreadsheet so that it goes to look for all the data that interests you in the list of downloaded information.

On Excel 2007 there may be better functions to accomplish this.

Finally, there is a possibility to easily download MSN Money quotes into Excel, but from experience the prices sometimes disappear. :S

I am already Novo Nordisk in the Global Dividend Growers, but thanks for the advice, I'm still interested.

Ooops. I hadn't looked that way for a Danish company. 😛 And I admit I (very) rarely look at the bottom of your US list.

Just to add a piece of information that I had not specified: in my stock selection criteria, it is also important that the companies I choose have a minimum of ethics. Because I hope to get rich thanks to my investments, but I would not want it to be thanks to slavery, corruption or other insanity of the kind...
