A reader asked me for my opinion on the following three stocks: Total, GTT, MERCIALYS. For this kind of request, please post directly on the forum.

      In short:

      1) Total: pays a good dividend, but at the expense of a high distribution ratio. Above all, the dividend is falling. I will not pursue the analysis any further, we are clearly not in the criteria of a policy of increasing dividends. It is a plus a "dog", that is to say a large cap that pays a large dividend. The price/book value ratio is also quite correct.

      2) GTT: also a good dividend, but also at the expense of a high payout ratio. The dividend increases over the long term, but not every year. This is a little closer to a growing dividend strategy, but it is not yet there. So I will not pursue the analysis further.

      3) MERCIALYS: still the same, good dividend, but high distribution rate, and above all downward trend of the dividend. Not to mention the cash reserves which are melting away… I'll stop there too.
