Good morning,
Have any of you made a selection of European stocks with rising dividends? I'd like to start a PEA portfolio in France using this approach. Ideally, I'd like to find stocks that are currently 5*, easy to say...if you have any ideas...
THANKS

I invite you to take a look:
- my EX-US strategy
- the portfolio of Lopazz
- the portfolio of Birdie
November 16, 2013 at 18:40 #16918Thanks Jersme.
The portfolios are interesting, even if they were often built in 2012.
Another little question, to which I think some people will have an easy answer: when you have a Swiss account, is there a withholding tax on French shares? I don't see any point for a French tax resident with a Swiss account to have French shares, rather than a CTO (not to mention a PEA) in France.
Am I wrong ?
THANKS
November 16, 2013 at 20:10 #16919I don't own any French securities, but there's no reason why there shouldn't be a withholding tax on dividends from French shares. Perhaps the main interest is not to declare the securities in the Swiss account, so as not to be taxed on the capital gain?
November 17, 2013 at 10:18 am #16920It is now impossible not to declare one's assets in Switzerland, and the risk of concealment is considerable. The only thing I'm wondering is whether companies themselves will be obliged to communicate information on foreigners holding assets with them. For example: a French tax resident owns 5,000 Nestle shares registered in Nestle's books. What does he risk in terms of communication?
November 17, 2013 at 11:16 am #16921There is no automatic exchange of data yet, not via banks, and certainly not directly via companies. But pressure is mounting. Especially on the banks. And especially from the USA.

Good morning,
Withholding taxes on foreign dividends for Swiss investors can be found here: http://www.estv.admin.ch/verrechnungssteuer/dienstleistungen/00253/00627/index.html?lang=fr
For French companies, the withholding tax is 15%. For information, dividends paid by UK companies are not subject to withholding tax.

Something along the lines of http://seekingalpha.com/article/248039-withholding-tax-rates-by-country-for-foreign-stock-dividends for US residents.
Thanks in advance. - AuthorPosts
