Investing to become financially independent
Investing to become financially independent

Hello everyone,
My name is David. I am Swiss, like many of you!
After several experiences related to the stock market, I learned, more or less painfully (I bought Twitter shares some time after its IPO), that you should not buy stocks at random hoping that the price will increase.
I also entered the world of Bitcoin (probably at the worst time, in December 2013) which allowed me to understand the supply and demand system and the depth of the market. It also allowed me to test my tolerance to stress, as the Bitcoin price is extremely volatile.
I now want to invest in the long term to build an income (based on a "dividend" strategy) and eventually become financially free. I am therefore in the training phase (a lot of reading, followed by online training) in order to acquire as many tools as possible to invest as best I can. In my quest for information, I came across this site whose ebook I read (very interesting by the way) and on which I registered today.
I look forward to sharing with you on this forum.
With pleasure
David
Hi David
sorry for the late reply, I'm going through a bad time from a professional point of view, one of those that gives me a reminder, so that I remember why I'm on the path to financial independence.
Anyway, welcome here. I also started like you 17 years ago, buying IPOs and techs. Today I laugh about it, but back then it wasn't so funny 🙂
But it was through these failures that I turned to growing dividends.
Good luck to you
No worries, we all have our little worries 😉
