Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) is a global leader in household and personal care products. Its best-known brands in Europe are Gillette and Pampers. The company has achieved the feat ofincrease its dividend over the previous 56 years. Currently, the stock offers a dividend yield of 2.80%, which is higher than its long-term average (2.69%).
The company has been increasing its dividend at an annual rate of 11,85%. With a payout of 47,47%, it has a substantial margin of coverage for its dividend payment. Its standard deviation (coefficient of variation) of 9,36% makes it one of the least volatile stocks in our portfolio. Procter & Gamble underperforms the market by several months, but over the long term it brilliantly outperforms it. We still need razors and diapers... Based on these considerations, we maintain our "buy" recommendation on PG.
